After a little over three years, Rev. Dr. Jay Terbush’s time with us is over. Just as we had a covenant with him when he started ministering to us so must, we formally release him from his service to us to pursue other ventures.

This Sunday is also Epiphany and communion will be served. As in the past, have your choice of elements ready to partake of the bread and cup in your own home.

To take part in the litany of the Service of Release, you will need to log onto this service through Zoom. The log on information was sent by email earlier this week.  On Zoom, everyone will be unmuted so all responses to the litany may be heard. This is important, as Dr. Jay needs to hear our release from his call to ECC.

Directly after the service with no break in the ZOOM feed, we will begin a virtual fellowship with Dr. Jay. Everyone will be unmuted so conversations may flow. We do ask that everyone try to speak one at a time to keep the cacophony to a minimum! This is your opportunity to thank Dr. Jay for his time at ECC. He has worshiped, taught, broken bread, laughed and cried with us.

As a further part of Dr. Jay’s fellowship “reception”, there will be a drive up/drive by visitation (with masks and physical distancing) in the church parking lot at 1 p.m. weather permitting. If the weather is inclement, another date will be rescheduled at a date and time to be determined.
